Health care transcends capitalism
Regarding insurers seeking higher rates: We’re going to be paying more for health insurance because these are companies whose bottom lines serve shareholders and CEOs’ dividends and salaries.
I need health insurance just like I need electricity, water, sewer, etc. The companies that provide these basic services should not be making a profit from the people that must have these services. I’m not a socialist, but I believe there are some services which should transcend the capitalist model.
