Crop duster dies in Desmet crash

The Benewah County Sheriff’s Office says a crop duster plane crashed early Monday morning about two and a half miles west of DeSmet, killing the pilot. According to Sheriff Dave Resser, the pilot failed to clear some electrical lines and crashed into some trees. No one else was injured. The identity of the pilot has not been released as authorities are still trying to notify next of kin/KHQ.
