18 legislators double dip
Eighteen current Idaho lawmakers are “double dipping” – receiving a state retirement pension while also receiving their legislative salaries, the Associated Press reports. The practice is both legal and private – their names aren’t disclosed. The highest state pension a current lawmaker is receiving is $4,300 a month; the lowest is $280 per month. Idaho lawmakers receive a $17,358 annual salary, travel reimbursements and a per diem when the Legislature is in session/ Betsy Russell , Eye on Boise. More here.
