Why Ask Why?

When I arrived in Coeur d’Alene, the North Shore Resort & Convention Center still existed, although it had been taken over by Duane Hagadone. A few years later, it would become the foundation for the Coeur d’Alene Resort. It was common at that time to refer to the land along the Lake Coeur d’Alene’s beaches as the “north shore.” I still do. But I don’t think many others do.

Question: Do you still hear references to Lake Coeur d’Alene’s “north shore”?
