Concealed carry speech attracts crowd
A packed house welcomed Priest River police chief Drew McLain June 16 to hear him explain the ins and outs of Idaho’s newly revised concealed carry permit law, Senate Bill 1389. It takes effect July 1. The Priest River branch of the West Bonner County Library District hosted McLain as part of its Live and Learn series. Librarian Katie Crill provided copies of the Idaho statute to those in attendance in order to follow along as McLain spoke. According to McLain, the new law says that Idaho residents age 21 and older may carry a concealed firearm without a concealed carry permit, unless they are disqualified from doing so per the statute/ Judd Wilson , Priest River Times.
