Short hike introduction to Rocks of Sharon on Saturday

TRAILS — An information gathering and hike geared to introducing newcomers to the Rocks of Sharon area of the Dishman Hills Conservation Area is set for Saturday, June 25.

The activities will start at  9 a.m. at the Stevens Creek Trailhead off the Palouse Highway.

Mary Weathers of the Dishman Hills Conservancy will offer advice and information about  the options for exploring the area before leading a short hike, starting at 10:30 a.m., to Big Rock, one of the standout features.

“We will have maps, brochures, and directions about the Stevens Creek Trail Head and other Dishman Hills trails,” she said.

The event is free, but please register online for the hiking portion.
