Wild Card/Thursday — 6.23.16

June is filled with so many milestones for me. As you know, Mrs. O and I celebrated our 41st anniversary Tuesday. I began newspapering with the Chico (Calif) Enterprise Record 46 years ago in June. And today is my mother’s 91st birthday. Physically, she has gone through some tough times this year after falling in January. But she’s still alert and feisty. She and an aunt on my father’s side are the only ones left of her generation of relatives. Mrs. O and I will take her a cupcake after work tonight — and hang out. Here’s your Thursday Wild Card …
