Vote for gun sanity

I am a fan of the Second Amendment, particularly the part that says “well regulated” (as in “militia”). Don’t tell me regulations would not eliminate the most recent holocaust or any other single tragedy. If sensible regulations save one life anywhere, why would we not support them?

Ronald Reagan declared (Feb. 6, 1989) that no one needs an AK-47 assault rifle for sporting purposes or defense of the home. Where are all his supporters? Where are those who revere the founding fathers who envisioned a temperate use of guns, not wholesale distribution of weapons of mass destruction?

There is plenty of blame to go around. But we could start with electing people to Congress who fear the horrific number of gun deaths more than they fear losing their job because of the out-of-control gun lobby. Vote for sanity. Please.
