CdA’s Music Man begins 25th year
When Chris Guggemos moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1980, his goal was to have a future in music production. That future began to be realized in 1992 when he was hired to produce weekly concerts in Sherman Square Park. Now, 25 years after that first summer, Guggemos is celebrating the milestone and the tradition he has created. “I bump into people in the grocery store, and they don’t remember my name, but they say, ‘Hey music man, when do the concerts start?’” Guggemos said Thursday. “It’s just the pleasure that people have had over the years.” Guggemos and his entertainment agency, Handshake Productions, have produced about 650 concerts since the first show in Sherman Square Park/ Devin Heilman , Coeur d’Alene Press. Question: Do you have a favorite group that plays at the Handshake Productions concerts or at Riverstone during the summer?
