Garbage collective switch looms

From the city of Coeur d’Alene’s website, cdaid.org : ” The city of Coeur d’Alene is transitioning its garbage hauling service to Coeur d’Alene Garbage effective July 1. The city’s former garbage hauler, Waste Management, is working with Coeur d’Alene Garbage to ensure that your refuse service company change flows as smoothly as possible. Coeur d’Alene Garbage has been delivering trash and recycling carts to residents throughout the city of Coeur d’Alene over the last several weeks. If both companies’ carts are at your residence after June 23, 2016 - please follow these steps:

  • Begin using your Coeur d’Alene Garbage trash and recycling carts immediately and set them out for service on your next normal service day.
  • Discontinue using your Waste Management carts and place your EMPTY WM carts out with the Coeur d’Alene Garbage carts on your next normal service day.
  • Waste Management will come by on your next normal service day to remove the empty WM carts.

More here.

DFO: Instructions I received on my new Coeur d’Alene Garbage bins yesterday said to use the Waste Management ones on Thursday per usual because switch to Coeur d’Alene Garbage begins Friday starts Friday. What to do?
