Wild Card/Thursday — 3.3.16

I have survived the winter without a cold or the flu or a flu shot, until Tuesday. I still haven’t had a cold or the flu. But I did get a flu shot during a routine follow-up check-up at Doc Chisholm’s office. The nurse offered one after checking my pulse and blood pressure. And I said, after a pause, why not? I almost alway get a flu shot. But I dragged my feet this year. I wouldn’t have gotten one new, except the flu season is late breaking — and my buddy, Big Earl, was floored by one of the strains last week. The nurse said the shot wouldn’t take affect for 2 weeks — and then would last 6 months. So I should be good until September. Now for today’s Wild Card …
