CPD: Pastor shooting not random

From Detective Jared Reneau of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department:

Today, Detectives at the Coeur d’Alene Police Department received information Kyle Odom sent a letter to his parents along with multiple news agencies. Enclosed with the letter was a flash drive containing multiple electronic documents. The documents indicate, amongst other things, the attack on Pastor Tim Remington was not a random event, but something Odom planned. Information from the documents also indicates that another church member at the Altar Church was targeted. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has taken steps to ensure this member is aware of the situation and both he and his family are safe at this time. Detectives at the Coeur d’Alene Police Department have examined the contents of all of the flash drives and they appear to have the same information. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is not releasing the information from the flash drive at this time.
