County: Only McHugh unopposed

Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon noted that voters will have ballot choices for most of the County offices on May 17.  “Both Commissioner seats and the Sheriff’s race have multiple candidates filed by today’s 5PM deadline,” Brannon said. Only the Prosecutor’s office has one candidate filing:  incumbent Prosecutor Barry McHugh. Write-in candidates have until April 19 to file their declarations.  “Since the mailing for absentee ballots begins April 1, write-in candidates should file as soon as possible,” Brannon noted. For candidates who have filed for all available County offices, click here. For candidates who have filed for Precinct Committee positions, click here. Only these candidate names will be printed on May 17 ballots.
