Legislative District 4 races

Here’s the lineup of races for Legislative District 4 (Coeur d’Alene) this year, including two Republican primary contests and one Democratic primary contest. Republican state Rep. Luke Malek will be challenged from the right by attorney Arthur B. Macomber. And challenger Paul Amador will try to send state Rep. Kathy Sims back to selling Hondas full-time in the second contest. It appears as though Democrat Patrick Mitchell filed for the state Senate race from Coeur d’Alene and later decided to challenge Turns to the East for the seat now held by Malek.
