HD 2B: Littlejohn vs Redman

Here’s an off-the-radar GOPrimary race that piques my curiosity. In one corner, you have state Rep. Eric Redman, who is currently trying to push an anti-Sharia law through the Idaho House. He comes from the Bob Pedersen Rally Right segment of the splintered Kootenai County Republican Party. In the other corner, you have Alan Littlejohn, who opposed a transportation package that included a 7-cent gas tax increase and tried to put a referendum on the ballot to depose it. Littlejohn collected 32 signatures of the 47,432 needed for a citizen referendum. Littlejohn is part of the North West Property Owners Alliance, which includes the Who’s Who of the constitutional libertarian wing. Both men are from Athol. It’ll be interesting to see which part of the Balkanized local GOP succeeds in this race.
