Sanders urges Idaho Dems to turn out for tomorrow’s caucuses

Bernie Sanders wrapped up an hour-plus speech at BSU’s Taco Bell Arena today with this message: “If we could win here in Idaho, it would send a message throughout this country, that even in conservative states, people are prepared to stand up, take on the billionaire class.” He said he’s learned that when turnout is low, he loses; when it’s high, he wins. “Please come out tomorrow night – let’s have a record-breaking turnout in Idaho,” Sanders urged, wrapping up his talk as the music came up, playing David Bowie’s “Star Man.”

“There’s a starman waiting in the sky, he’d like to come and meet us, but he thinks he’d blow our minds,” the late Bowie sang as Sanders left the arena, shaking just a few hands on the way out. “There’s a starman waiting in the sky, he’s told us not to blow it, ‘cause he knows it’s all worthwhile.”

Idaho Democrats caucus tomorrow night, to make their presidential nominee selections; there are caucuses set in each county. There are four possible choices: Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Rocky De La Fuente, or Undeclared. There’s more info here .
