Wild Card/Tuesday — 3.22.16

In December, I could hardly wait for the 2016 Legislature to start, knowing that it would provide plenty of fodder for this cyber mill. Now, I simply want it to go away. The 2016 version of this modern American comedy has raised property taxes by tinkering with the homeowners exemption and it has allowed every Tom, Dick & Heather over age 21 to carry a concealed weapon without a permit (or instruction) within city limits. Meanwhile, our average — and often below average legislators — have ignored the uninsured working poor. Yet, they will be welcomed back to town simply because they have an R after their names.
