CdAHumanist: Caucus ‘cool’, ‘painful’

(RE:
Cody: Caucusing disenfranchises voters
): I attended the caucus at NIC last night and completely agree that it greatly
dissuades more people from participating. It is a very confusing and inefficient process. While being in one place and feeling the energy of the Democratic party on the whole was cool, sitting there for 4 hours watching this process unfold was quite painful. A closed primary would have been SO much better.
Question: Should the major political parties do away with party caucuses?
