Renfro tries to avoid death penalty
The man accused of killing a Coeur d’Alene police officer is now trying to avoid the death penalty. Jonathan Renfro’s defense attorney filed a motion to take the death penalty off the table Friday. The Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office said it’s a standard request in this type of case. Renfro is set to stand trial on a first degree murder charge in September/ KREM 2 . More here.
