IFA uses billboard vs Malek
Here’s the latest crop of independent expenditures and electioneering communication reports, all from 48-hour notices filed with the Idaho Secretary of State’s office in the past 24 hours:
- The “Committee for Principled Government,” headed by Greyhound Park Event Center manager Doug Okuniewisz, reported spending $1,164 for literature and postage in opposition to the re-election of Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d’Alene.
- Republican Liberty Caucus PAC reported spending $4,997 on literature and postage to support Reps. Don Cheatham, R-Post Falls, and Kathy Sims, R-Coeur d’Alene; and Art Macomber of Coeur d’Alene, who’s challenging Malek; along with a newspaper ad in the St. Maries Gazette Record supporting Carl Berglund, who’s in a two-way GOP primary against Bill Goesling of Moscow for a chance to challenge Rep. Paulette Jordan, D-Plummer, in November.
- Idaho Freedom Action reported spending $1,200 on a digital billboard opposing Malek.
Question: Do you think a digital billboard gets the best bang for the bucks?
