Blogos: Battle for Kroc + 7 years

John Chamness, now a divisional commander in Hawaii with the Salvation Army, posts this photo on his Facebook wall that shows him standing in the pit that would later be filled to serve as the site for the Kroc Center. John guided that project to completion, despite incredible opposition and personal attack from the usual suspects who oppose everything in this area. John posts: “Seven years ago Lani Chamness and I had the privilege of turning a discarded gravel pit into a community center of transformation. So grateful to all those who helped to make this a reality. Sue Breckenfelder Thilo , Steve Blackburn , Steve Griffitts, Sandi Bloem, Sandy Patano , Jack T. Riggs , Stacy Barney , Elaine Mansoor , Troy Tymesen, Rick Barton , Kevin Jester, Steve Walker and so many others. Aloha and God bless you.” CLICK ON PHOTO FOR 5 MORE PICTURES.
