Give Elsa a girlfriend

Who says that a princess needs to fall in love with a prince and live happily ever after? This statement is exactly why #GiveElsaAGirlfriend started. On May 1, Alexis Isabel Moncada started this hashtag in hopes of getting Disney to give the “Frozen” Disney princess Elsa a girlfriend.

Over 10,000 tweets used the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend persuading all the reasons of having an LGBT princess. One of the tweets sent in said, “#GiveElsaAGirlfriend because little girls watching should know you can be a princess and love another princess.”

Many people on Twitter have been quoting songs from the movie “Frozen,” such as “Love Is An Open Door” and “Let It Go.” The songs talk about being true to who you are and to accept who you are. I am in full support of #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, because young children need to know that nothing is wrong with them and that even a princess sometimes need a princess, and a prince sometimes needs a prince.
