Clerk Brannon visits polls

County Clerk Jim Brannon called moments ago to say that he’s visiting the various precincts today to make sure everything is running smoothly. Jim invited Huckleberries Online readers to contact this blog if they see anything unusual at the polls. He said he’ll personally check out such things. Jim declined to guess at the size of the voter turnout today. But he did say that prospective voters returned only half of the absentee ballots that his office sent out. He said his goal tonight will be to have the ballots counted by 11 o’clock.
