For those keeping score at home, Coeur d’Alene School Board Chairwoman Christa Hazel won a write-in election for the local GOP Central Committee precinct committee spot. The significance. She becomes the fifth current or former local school trustee on the Central Committee. The others? Brent Regan, Terri Seymour and Ann Seddon, who served on the controversial former Coeur d’Alene School Board, two as appointees, and Carol Goodman, who now serves on the Post Falls School Board. Also, for those keeping score at home, Christa replaces Toby Schindelbeck from Precinct 47 on the Central Committee. Jim Pierce held the spot before Schindelbeck. Should make for some interesting Central Committee meetings.
