Theory never supported
In response to the May 14 editorial, “Leach took advantage of position,” by Craig Hemmens: I thought the article was right on through the first three paragraphs. Summary: Everyone has the right to express their opinion and support an individual, and that there was no issue between Leach and Washington State University.
However the rest of the article got mired in fantasy or some kind of supposition as to the reason Leach spoke at the Trump rally, yet there was no evidence of statements or facts to back that up (which is where the fantasy began).
“But what is the realty when it comes to Leach’s endorsement of Trump” said Hemmens, and I waited to read the facts and supporting evidence but there was only theory, at best. If this is evidence of deductive reasoning or thought from a WSU professor with a Ph.D, then I pray for those students currently enrolled in Hemmens’ classes.
WSU students, you are better than this. Seek to affirm truth through fact, as opposed to theories based on ideology or personal bias.
