Whither goeth Tom Hearn?

Democrat Tom Hearn, a Coeur d’Alene School Board trustee, did us all a favor by signing up to take on state Rep. Kathy Sims, R-Coeur d’Alene, in the fall election. Only something strange happened to Rep. Sims en route to the November matchup. She got beat by newcomer Paul Amador. Which raises the question: Would Hearn have done better against Sims than Amador in the general election?
