Bringing flowers to the graves

Every year my Granny Franny and her sister Lucille would bring flowers to the cemeteries to decorate the family grave sites. I went with her many times over the years and decided to continue the tradition this year in her memory. I cut some yellow irises from my backyard Wednesday and took the kids to the cemetery. I’m glad I brought them because I wasn’t quite sure where all the graves were and it took a bit of searching for us to locate most of them — especially since some are marked only by tiny stones and one isn’t marked at all. I have to give kudos to the City of Coeur d’Alene because the awesome interactive map of the city cemeteries (find it here ) was super helpful.
