Woman offers multi-beneficial option for Spokane Thanksgiving potluck

WILDLIFE — Thanksgiving isn’t the only time turkeys are on our minds on the South Hill.

The scratching and fertilizing associated with the growing population of wild gobblers and hens is especially unforgettable if a flock frequents your yard or roosts in a tree above your house.

Responding to a group email of friends planning a Thanksgiving potluck, one otherwise gentle woman responded:

“I gave a great idea.  Let’s all shoot one wild turkey from our yard and cook it.  Get enough of those skinny bastards and it should add up to a fine meal and diminish the population a bit besides!”
