In the “Politics Make Strange Bedfellows” Department, Huckleberries notices that a Coeur d’Alene Press ad for state Sen. Mary Souza includes the usual suspects — Councilman Dan Gookin, Congressman Raul Labrador, and former NIC Trustee Ron Nilson. But there were 2 people on the ad who were a surprise: Mayor Steve Widmyer and Coeur d’Alene School District Trustee Christa Hazel. Is Mary becoming mainstream? Inquiring minds want to know?
