Expanded bus service vital

As a person who drives in Spokane, I also appreciate bus service and I support STA Proposition 1. I often take the bus to work instead of driving my car. This makes my gas last longer, saves wear and tear on my car, and on our roads.

I am also active at church on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. I would like to take the bus on those days and times too, but the service that exists now makes that almost impossible. I am able to drive to those events, but many others who attend church and would like to attend church activities and do not own a car would benefit from the expanded services offered by the Moving Forward plan.

Getting to doctor’s appointments and food shopping, as well as to jobs, are vital to the quality of life in Spokane. Expanded bus service is sometimes the only way the people of Spokane can survive here, especially the young.
