CMR gets things done
The ballots have arrived. Vote. I cast my ballot for Cathy McMorris Rodgers. She has worked endlessly for Eastern Washington. She sponsored H.R. 1919 - Steve Gleason Act of 2015. It became law. She also sponsored Hydropower Regulatory Efficiency Act of 2013. It became a law.
Do you realize that it takes a law to repeal a law? Very few bills ever become law. Example: At one point with 5,140 bills and resolutions before Congress, only 5 percent were passed and signed into law.
The House and Senate often work on the same issue simultaneously by introducing companion bills in each chamber. Two of Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers’s bills and resolutions had a companion bill in the Senate. Working with a sponsor in the other chamber makes a bill more likely to be passed by both the House and Senate. Cathy has the ability to work with both the House and Senate and with Democrats as well as Republicans.
I hear people say, “She hasn’t done anything.” I say look at her record. She had bills that have become laws. She cares, she listens and she gets things done.
