D1: Keough, Scott, Dixon winning early

Moderate Republican Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, and Tea Party Republican Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, and Rep. Sage Dixon, R-Sandpoint, are leading big early in their re-election bids in the 1st Legislative District (Bonner and Boundary counties). The Secretary of State’s web site shows:

• Sen. Shawn Keough — 3,873 (75.8%), Steve Tanner — 1,237 (24.2%)
• Rep. Sage Dixon — 3,761 (73.5%), Stephen Howlett — 1,354 (26.5%)
• Rep. Heather Scott — 3,717 (72.9%), Kate McAlister — 1,383 (27.1%)
