CDAIndie: A sad spectacle to reach

CDAIndependent writes this after attending the Election Night event — I hesitate to call it a “party” — of local Democrats. He comments:

“I could’ve made a killing selling antidepressants at the Democratic campaign watch party Tuesday night. They are feeling pretty beat up and I don’t know if they are going to be able to get any good candidates to run again even in district 4. They had some good candidates this time that worked very hard and they got clobbered. Sad spectacle to watch.”

It’s good to have loyal opposition. It’s a must, in fact. But I sometimes wonder if it would make more sense for most Idaho Democrats to give up the fight and join the Republican Party to provide balance. After all, most Idaho Democrats are fairly conservative. The gambit has worked for former members of the Constitution Party, Libertarian Party and John Birch Society. They have pulled the Republican Party in the Idaho panhandle further right than the Republican Party in the rest of the state. What do you think?

Question: What now for Idaho Democrats?
