Wild Card/Thursday — 11.10.16

On Tuesday, I was prepared to honor the office of the presidency, no matter which way the election turned out. If Democrat Hillary Clinton had won, as most expected, she would be my president. If Republican Donald Trump would have won — as he did, of course — he would be my president. President Barack Obama is my president. He and his family have been a respectable first family. George Bush was my president before him. Again, he and his family were respectable and honored the office. Now, I want to see the future President Trump succeed. As a maverick within his own party, he has a unique opportunity to pull us together. I hope he does. Here’s your Thursday Wild Card …
