Share thoughts on DST

Do you know anyone who likes changing clocks twice a year (“Spring forward, fall back”)? Do you personally have a clear understanding of the advantages (if any) that are supposed to accrue from making these changes that can be very stressful for many people?

If your answer to these questions is yes, please share your thoughts. If your answer is no, perhaps it is time that we reconsider this measure that was introduced during World War II when its purpose was clearly understood. Please share your thoughts about this, too.

The Spokesman-Review invites original letters on local topics of public interest. Your letter must adhere to the following rules:

  • No more than 250 words
  • We reserve the right to reject letters that are not factually correct, racist or are written with malice.
  • We cannot accept more than one letter a month from the same writer.
  • With each letter, include your daytime phone number and street address.
  • The Spokesman-Review retains the nonexclusive right to archive and re-publish any material submitted for publication.
