Stop phone scofflaws

We have reached the height of idiocy. We have no traffic enforcement. People drive while texting and talking on phones although it is against the law. There are, however, plenty of police personnel as soldiers in masks when desired, with military equipment, to apprehend one wanted person.

The police say they can’t tell when someone is using the phone. We can. It is basic. Look at how they are driving and not looking at the road. Does anyone wonder why there are so many accidents? Perhaps we should send photos and they can be used for training at the police academy. We could also rent them a school bus.

We drive on streets like those of third-world countries with no money to fix them but we can build a bridge to allow pedestrians and bicyclists to cross over one street because it is a “university” district. Perhaps when I am frustrated with traffic I can go walk the bridge for a “palpable” experience. Politicians claim to want clean air but don’t know how to synchronize traffic signals to eliminate stop-and-go driving which produces pollution. Go figure.

What ever happened to leadership and common sense?
