CMR must work for us

Cathy McMorris Rodgers may be in a “strong position,” but she does nothing to help the real people of our district. In one case, however, that may be good. As a Vietnam combat veteran, I regularly use the Spokane VA Medical Center and have found the staff to be respectful, responsive and attentive to its community of veterans. I feel that I am well-served.

So, Rep. McMorris Rodgers, please don’t mess with my VA health care. Privatization may be good for her cronies, but that doesn’t mean that it will benefit veterans. When asked about her proposal to stem the senseless slaughter of innocents from guns, she offered nothing but platitudes. And further, when asked for her strategy keeping assault weapons out of the hands of terrorists on the watch list, she offered even more platitudes. Indeed, she is the do-nothing representative and the only act at which she excels is to stand in the background of the congressional podium and mug for the cameras. We need someone who is actually work on behalf of we the people of the 5th District.
