PM Scanner Traffic — 11.17.16

Several people have reportedly been injured after a car ran into the back of a school bus at high speed near Lancaster Avenue and Highway 41 in Rathdrum. The school bus was full of children at the time of the crash, which was reported around 3:30 p.m. Early indications are that the bus driver and several children have been injured/Nina Culver, SR.   • 4:46 p.m. Seizure — 38YO female @ Cancer Center/1440 E Mullan Ave, Post Falls.
  • 4:12 p.m. Injury Crash — 2 people may be injured in crash @ H41/Wyoming Ave, Rathdrum, road blocked.
  • 4:11 p.m. Unknown Medical — Torrey Lane/Honeysuckle Ave, Hayden.
  • 4:11 p.m. Protection Order — Deputy checking for possible violation on Davenport St/Dalton Gardens.
  • 4:03 p.m. Welfare Check — Havichur Loop/Post Falls.
  • 3:46 p.m. Injury Crash (3:20 item) — All but 5 children have been cleared through triage to load back onto another school bus that has arrived at the scene. The 5 need additional medical care. Parents are arriving on scene to take kids home.
  • 3:29 p.m. Injury Crash (3:20 item) — Officer on scene reports bus driver & 4 children injured and that there are 35 “walking wounded.” Lancaster Ave @ H41 shut down.
  • 3:21 p.m. Business Alarm — Rose Lake restaurant.
  • 3:20 p.m. Injury Crash — Driver rear-ends school bus loaded with children @ high speed @ H41/Lancaster Road, Rathdrum. Female bus driver complains of pain to face and knees. Unknown injuries from school bus.

  • 2:39 p.m. Stolen Vehicle — BOSS hit on stolen, silver Chevy pickup w/white stripe @ w/b I-90/4th of July area.
  • 2:06 p.m. Non-Injury Crash — Washington St/2nd Ave, Spirit Lake.
  • 2:02 p.m. Possible DUI — Driver of red sedan @ n/b H95/MP 449 (H54/Athol).
  • 1:30 p.m. General Illness — 2600 block of Nugget Lane/Post Falls.
  • 1:30 p.m. Theft Target — Caller reports Subaru Outback w/keys in ignition @ 2300 block of N5th St/CdA.
  • 12:32 p.m. Trespassed — Troublesome male trespassed from CdA Wells Fargo, Govt Way/Appleway, CdA.
  • 12:12 p.m. Loose Dog — Dog running loose near elementary school/ 32065 5th Ave/Spirit Lake.
  • 12:08 p.m. Unconscious Person — Female fainted near counter of Joanne’s Fabrics/Silver Lake Mall, CdA.
