‘Sasquatch Hunter’ author Shields to discuss work

Sharma Shields, winner of the 2016 Washington Book Award for Fiction, will discuss her book,

From Ben Drake, president of the Coeur d’Alene Library Foundation:

Our Reading for the Library event with Sharma Shields, winner of the 2016 Washington Book Award for fiction, is this Friday at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library! Starting at 6:30 pm she will be signing books and we will be serving some of the best soup on the planet from Soul Café. What a great way to spend a Friday night!

While Sharma will be discussing her book, “The Sasquatch Hunter’s Almanac,” we are most excited at the opportunity to be able to bring in such a talented and local author to spend the evening with us at our local Library. It isn’t necessary to read the book in order to attend, but if want to purchase the book once you hear from Sharma Shields, we will have copies available for purchase at the event. Otherwise come down to support the Library, enjoy great food, company, and drinks!

All proceeds from the event will go directly back into the Library, which is fantastic, but we have some distance to go in order to reach our goal on ticket sales and we need your help! If you have friends, colleagues, acquaintances, etc., that would be interested in this event, please share this email with them. We think it is going to be a great evening!

You can purchase your tickets on-line by visiting http://brownpapertickets.com/event/2627281

You can also find us on Facebook page by visiting: https://www.facebook.com/LoveYourLibraryMonth/ and learn more about this event by visiting https://www.facebook.com/events/1151621804917005/

We will also have some wonderful raffle items that were donated for the event and all proceeds raised on these items will also go directly back to the Library!
