KCSO investigates 5 auto burglaries

Five auto burglaries in the area of E. Hayden View Drive and E. Lookout Drive in Coeur d’Alene were reported to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Thursday. It is believed that between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday, five unlocked vehicles were entered with property taken from four of the five vehicles. Items taken from the vehicles included a purse, knife, garage door opener and money. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to please lock you vehicles to prevent them from being burglarized. These individuals will walk your neighborhoods at night looking and checking for unlocked vehicles to enter and steal items/KCSO spokesman Gary Shults.
