Labrador: Eager to work w/Trump

In his latest newsletter, Congressman Raul Labrador comments:

In electing Donald Trump as our 45 ^th president, the American people sent an unmistakable message: Change Washington.

We in Congress must work in concert with the President-elect to put the people at the center of policy making, not the special interests. We must take critical steps to rebuild our economy and restore the confidence that made America the envy of the world.

It is a relief to observe the peaceful transfer of power, a great tradition that keeps our country stable and strong. I am optimistic that we will honor the will of the people and deliver change.

Republicans made big promises that fueled our historic victory. These include repeal of Obamacare, secure borders, spending restraint, tax cuts and a more humble foreign policy. I’m eager to get to work in the early days of 2017 to accomplish these major initiatives. More here.
