Why PFPD cop didn’t go to jail

Taylor Viydo/KREM 2 was asked, via Twitter, by the couple who found officer Brenda Knight of the Post Falls Police Department in a ditch recently why she wasn’t taken to jail. After all, she was charged with DUI. Taylor tweets his response:

• 1:44 p.m. Here’s the thing: Knight was charged w/a misdemeanor. It’s not uncommon for authorities to cite & release someone in a situation like this
