Time for Generation Z

Many people have told us that our voice doesn’t affect anything. They say we are ignorant or too young for us to decide what we support. I support equality. I support peace. I support standing up for what you believe in. If these are the opinions of one who is ignorant, then I wish to stay that way.

I don’t want my future to be washed away by someone who voted for “Harambe” or a citizen of America who thought their vote didn’t matter. I may be young, but at least I’m not as immature to make a joke out of the presidency.

We don’t have borders. I can easily talk to someone in Japan, England, Australia. We understand other cultures and the world. We understand importance and respect more than someone who still thinks LGBT is disgusting, more than adults who think someone is lesser than them because of superficial standards.

“Do not go gentle into that good night” (Dylan Thomas). This is not the adult’s time anymore. This is our time, Generation Z.
