VA hospital was great
I have heard stories about the VA hospital, and I just want to say my husband was at hospice at the VA hospital in Spokane. He and our family received the best care possible. There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do for us.
We were in a small room on a ward before they had a room in hospice. They took care of our every need, then moved him to hospice, where we were met by the most experienced and humble staff. They did everything to make us (the family) comfortable. My husband passed away the next evening.
Our daughter and I went back to hospice a week later. What most people don’t know is that his room had an American flag quilt on his bed and a candle lit there until the next veteran came to occupy that room.
Also, when they remove a veteran’s body from hospice, everyone that works in hospice lines the hall and salutes that veteran as they take his body out.
We have one of the best VA hospitals here in Spokane. Thank you. When you see a veteran, thank him for his service. He puts his country first to protect us all.
