Indigenous Peoples’ Day Monday
Monday will be the first Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrated in Spokane. In August, the Spokane City Council voted 6-1 to pass a resolution to change the name of Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples’ Day. City Council President Ben Stuckart said the goal of the name change is to honor Native Americans/KREM 2. More here.
