IEA endorses Milan

On her Facebook wall, Kristi Milan, a Coeur d’Alene Democrat vying against Mary Souza for Souza’s Senate District 4 seat, touts the endorsement she received from the Idaho Education Association: “I am very proud to have received the endorsement of the Idaho Education Association. I credit years of IEA advocacy and leadership training for my many of my qualifications to be a state senator.”

Question: In this state where public education is viewed as a bad thing by too many people, does an endorsement from the Idaho Education Association carry much clout?
