Walkabout emails: “I saw this porcupine this afternoon on my walk. He was a little way past the chief Morris Antelope statue (on the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River) headed toward Riverstone.  I was walking towards the college when I heard a movement in the bushes. He was very close, probably less than a foot from my leg. I got out of there quickly. I took these pictures from the upper trail.”
