ISP IDs victim killed by patrol car

The 38YO woman hit and killed by a sheriff’s deputy driving a patrol car early Saturday morning has been identified as Amber E. Viuhkola, of Hayden. The accident occurred on southbound Highway 95 at Miles Ave., Hayden. According to an ISP news release, a deputy who has not been identified was driving southbound in the right lane when he struck Viuhkola on the highway. The woman succumbed to her injuries on scene. Investigation continues. The Idaho State Police is asking that any witnesses who may have seen the event to contact its office at (208) 209-8730.
