Absentee, early voting options given

Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon announced voting information for the Nov. 8 election.  “Voters wanting an absentee ballot mailed to them need to submit their request by 5PM Friday, Oct. 28” he said. Click http://www.kcgov.us/elections/forms/Absentee%Ballot%Application.pdf to  download the request form, which can be returned by mail, fax, or email.

“Those who want to vote early in person can do so at the Elections office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Nov. 4,” Brannon continued.  The address is 1808 N. Third Street in Coeur d’Alene.  Registered voters should bring a photo ID with them to cast their ballot, or they may sign a Personal Identity Affidavit instead.

Voters who’ve moved or changed names must re-register.  They, and new registrants, must bring a photo ID and proof of residency with their current address listed, dated at least 30 days prior to their voting date. Polling place locations are at this link: http://www.kcgov.us/elections/search/ Polls will be open from 7AM to 8PM on Election Day. No party affiliation is required for the November 8 election.
