Keep babies healthy

Once pregnant, you’re already a parent. What you put into your body affects the entire lifetime of your child. Alcohol, tobacco and/or other drugs damage brain function to the point that your child may have no self-control or be able to succeed in any part of life.

Reality — perhaps the reason you are struggling so much is related to the drugs your parents used before and after you were born. If so, please get help.

If you’re spending more on alcohol, marijuana or other drugs than on healthy food for yourself and your children, they will grow up angry, frustrated and on edge because their brains haven’t been able to develop properly. The human brain needs lots of good protein to develop into the controlling organ for a happy, self-efficient person.

Having spent 13 years working with children of addicted parents, I’ve heard horror stories. As a former teacher, I’ve experienced the negative results on children who were drugged before birth or deprived of healthy food after birth.

We’ve heard the news these last two months of the brutal deaths and injuries of five infants from homes where drugs were priority, and not innocent children. Parents, wake up, please.
